Ready-to-shoot kit

This bundle pairs a 24.1MP APS-C DSLR body with an 18-55mm zoom lens, a shoulder bag, a 64GB memory card and a cleaning set. The camera uses a DIGIC 4+ processor and a 3.0 inch 920k-dot LCD for framing and review. It is aimed at first-time interchangeable-lens buyers who want everything in one purchase.

Bag protects, card stores, cloth maintains

The supplied bag holds the body and attached lens during transport. The Sandisk Ultra 64GB card provides immediate storage for JPEG and Full HD 1080/30p video files. The cleaning set lets you remove dust from the front element and the LCD without extra purchases.

EF-S mount limits full-frame upgrade path

The polycarbonate body weighs less than magnesium models and accepts EF-S and EF lenses via the same bayonet. The 18-55mm lens covers a 28.8-88mm equivalent range with a variable f/3.5-38 aperture. Buyers who want a second card slot, 4K video or weather sealing need a different camera.

Questions about this item

Will the shutter on the EOS 2000D need replacement after a certain number of shots?

Canon does not publish a shutter durability rating for the EOS 2000D, so no official replacement interval exists; most entry-level DSLR shutters last many tens of thousands of actuations under normal use.

What limits continuous shooting on the EOS 2000D during extended bursts?

The camera captures up to 3 fps and the buffer fills after a short burst; the SD card write speed then becomes the bottleneck for sustained shooting.

How hot does the EOS 2000D get when recording 1080 video for long periods?

Extended 1080/30p recording can warm the body noticeably; the camera will display a temperature warning and eventually stop recording to protect internal components.
