Compact mirrorless kit delivers 24.2MP APS-C imaging, 15 fps bursts, 4K 30p video and 651-zone AF with subject tracking, plus 128GB UHS-I card and case
The Canon EOS R50 mirrorless camera kit includes an RF-S 18-45mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM lens, a 128GB SDXC card and a case. It uses a 24.2MP APS-C CMOS sensor with a DIGIC X processor for stills and video. Dual Pixel CMOS AF II covers 100% x 100% area with 651 zones for subject detection. The bundle suits photographers and video creators who want a compact interchangeable-lens system.
This kit replaces smartphone cameras or older entry-level DSLRs with a larger APS-C sensor and optical zoom. The jump is worth it when you need 15 fps electronic shutter bursts or 4K 30p video oversampled from 6K. It also adds 120 fps Full HD for slow motion and a dedicated Close-up Demo Mode for product shots. Buyers who need longer telephoto reach or a second card slot are not served by this bundle.
The included 128GB UHS-I card peaks at 95MB/s read, which caps sustained 4K write speeds and burst clearing. The RF-S 18-45mm f/4.5-6.3 lens has a variable aperture that narrows to f/6.3 at 45mm, reducing low-light capability at the long end. Continuous shooting drops to 12 fps with Electronic First Curtain versus 15 fps electronic. Users needing faster buffer clearing or constant wide aperture should look beyond this kit.

The lens uses the RF mount and attaches directly to the EOS R50 with no adapter required.
Open the card door, slide the card in with the label facing the back until it clicks, then close the door; the camera will create the folder structure on first power-up.
Replace the card if sustained write speed drops below 30 MB/s, after heavy rewrite cycles, or if the camera reports card errors during 4K 30p recording.
