Advanced APS-C Imaging

The Canon EOS R7 pairs a 32.5MP APS-C CMOS sensor with the DIGIC X processor for native ISO 100-32000, expandable to 51200. Dual Pixel CMOS AF II provides 651 automatic AF points across the frame. The 2.36m-Dot OLED EVF and included 18-150mm lens suit wildlife and action photographers needing reach and speed in a compact mirrorless body.

Thermals and Power in Use

In-body stabilisation up to 7 stops with coordinated 5-axis control keeps handheld shots steady during typical sessions. The camera records 4K60 10-bit video with HDR-PQ and C-Log 3 profiles without overheating in normal conditions. Battery life supports extended shooting days for stills and mixed media workflows.

Sustained High-Speed Performance

A 15 fps mechanical shutter and 30 fps electronic shutter maintain full resolution during long bursts. RAW Burst Mode with pre-shooting captures moments before the shutter is fully pressed. The buffer and AF tracking keep pace with fast subjects over extended sequences.

Questions about this item

How do I attach the 18-150mm lens to the EOS R7 body and what step is often missed?

Align the white mount index on the lens with the white index on the RF-S mount, rotate clockwise until it clicks, then remove the rear lens cap before shooting.

What maintenance will the in-body stabilisation and sensor need over time?

The IBIS unit is sealed and requires no user service; clean the 32.5MP APS-C sensor only with a blower or approved swabs when dust appears.

What limit appears first when recording 4K60 10-bit video continuously?

The 30-minute recording limit per clip stops capture first; thermals may reduce available time in warm conditions.
