Full-frame mirrorless camera

The Canon EOS R8 pairs a 24.2 million pixel full-frame CMOS sensor with the DIGIC X processor in a compact body. It targets photographers and creators who want full-frame image quality without the bulk of larger professional bodies.

24.2 megapixel full-frame sensor

The 24.2 million pixel CMOS sensor determines the resolution ceiling for every still and every frame of video. Buyers who need higher pixel counts for large prints or heavy cropping will need a different camera.

Oversampled 4K up to 60 fps

Uncropped 4K movies are oversampled from 6K at up to 60 fps, and Full HD can reach 180 fps for slow motion. The maximum continuous movie record time is two hours, so very long single takes are not supported.
