Dedicated lens hood for Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM that blocks stray light, reduces flare and protects the front element from impacts and weather
The Canon ET-65 III lens hood is designed for Canon EF lenses including the EF 85mm f/1.8 USM, EF 100mm f/2 USM, EF 70-210mm f/3.5-4.5 USM, EF 135mm f/2.8 SF, and EF 100-300mm f/4.5-5.6 USM. It attaches to the front of these lenses to shade the front element from stray light. Photographers using any of the listed lenses can fit this hood to reduce flare and protect the barrel.
The hood blocks off-axis light that causes flare and ghosting, helping to preserve contrast and colour depth in high-contrast scenes. Its rigid construction also acts as a barrier against rain, dust and wind-blown debris reaching the front glass. Additionally, the extended rim absorbs impacts from walls, door frames and other obstacles encountered while shooting.
This hood only fits the five Canon EF lenses named above. It cannot be mounted on EF-S, RF, or other EF lenses with different front diameters or bayonet patterns. Buyers who own a lens not in that list will need a different hood model. Photographers requiring a collapsible rubber hood or a petal-shaped design for wide-angle zooms should look elsewhere.

Align the hood’s bayonet tabs with the lens barrel slots, rotate clockwise until it clicks, and verify the alignment mark sits flush — a partial turn is the common mistake.
The hood is a single moulded plastic piece with no moving parts; it does not require scheduled replacement unless cracked from impact.
The hood is optimised for the 85 mm and 100 mm primes; at the 70 mm wide end of the zoom, slight corner shading can occur.
