Questions about this item

How do I attach the EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS UD lens to the EOS 7D body, and what alignment step is often missed?

Align the white EF-S mount index on the lens barrel with the matching white mark on the camera flange, then rotate clockwise until the lock pin clicks; the separate red EF mark is for full-frame lenses only.

What routine care will the 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS UD lens need over time?

Clean the front and rear glass with a blower and microfibre cloth, exercise the zoom and focus rings monthly to spread lubricant, and test the IS switch periodically for smooth engagement.

Which limit appears first when shooting continuous bursts at 8 fps with the 18.0-megapixel CMOS sensor?

The CF card write speed becomes the bottleneck; the 19-point AF and dual DIGIC 4 processors can sustain the rate, but a slow card stops the buffer from clearing.
