Home-office all-in-one

The Canon MAXIFY MB2720 is a colour inkjet multifunction device built for small offices that print, copy, scan and fax. It delivers 24.0 ipm in black and 15.5 ipm in colour at 600 x 1200 dpi using pigment black and dye colour inks.

Connectivity and volume check

Verify that your network provides an Ethernet port, a USB connection or a Wi-Fi signal the printer can join. The engine is rated for up to 20,000 pages per month with a recommended volume of 250 to 1,250 pages.

Sustained workload behaviour

During long print runs the 4,352 nozzles maintain consistent output without the slowdown seen in short bursts. The 25 % to 400 % copy zoom and ADF collation keep multi-page jobs flowing steadily.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box with the Canon MAXIFY MB2720 and do I need to buy ink separately?

The printer ships with starter cartridges; replacement ink uses PGI-1200 standard or XL tanks in black, cyan, magenta and yellow.

Should I choose standard PGI-1200 or XL cartridges for the MB2720?

XL cartridges yield more pages per tank and suit the recommended 250 to 1250 monthly volume; standard tanks cost less upfront but need replacing sooner.

What does the 24.0 ipm ESAT black speed mean for everyday printing?

ESAT measures sustained simplex throughput after the first page; expect up to 24 mono pages per minute once the job is running.
