Compact RF pancake for full-frame

The Canon RF 28mm f/2.8 STM is a pancake-style prime lens built for Canon full-frame mirrorless cameras. Its wide-angle field of view and bright f/2.8 aperture suit travel, street photography and everyday video work. The bundle adds a 3-piece filter kit, a lens cap keeper and a cleaning kit for immediate use.

Simple mount and front accessories

The lens attaches via the native RF mount with no adapter required. STM stepping motor focuses quietly for video. The included 55mm filter kit threads directly onto the front element; the cap keeper secures the supplied 55mm lens cap to the strap so it is not lost during shooting.

Verify RF mount and filter thread

Confirm the camera body uses the Canon RF mount before ordering. Check that no existing filter or hood uses a different thread size, because the kit filters are 55mm only. Ensure the shooting style benefits from a fixed 28mm focal length rather than a zoom range.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the f/2.8 aperture is functioning after mounting the lens?

Set the camera to aperture-priority mode, select f/2.8, and confirm the viewfinder or screen shows the same value; take a test shot in low light and check that the exposure is bright with shallow depth of field.

What comes in the bundle and what must I purchase separately?

The box contains the RF 28mm f/2.8 STM lens, a 55mm lens cap, a dust cap, a three-piece filter kit, a lens cap keeper, and a cleaning kit; filters for other thread sizes or a camera body are not included.

Which version of the 28mm f/2.8 STM should I choose for a full-frame RF camera?

This bundle provides the RF-mount 28mm f/2.8 STM designed for full-frame sensors, so it is the correct version for any Canon EOS R series camera; no other mount or focal-length option is offered here.
