Compact professional camcorder

The Canon XA60B is a compact, lightweight professional camcorder designed for ENG, documentary and journalism work. It captures UHD 4K30 and Full HD 1080p60 to dual SD card slots using XF-AVC and MP4 formats. A 1/2.3" CMOS sensor and DIGIC DV6 image processor deliver high sensitivity with low noise.

Suited for stream-ready field use

Videographers who need direct UVC streaming from the USB Type-C port to a Windows or macOS computer will benefit from the simplified live workflow. The 3.5" capacitive touchscreen LCD and 0.36" OLED EVF provide flexible monitoring. Buyers who require higher frame rates at UHD 4K resolution should look at other models.

20x optical zoom with 8-blade iris

The integrated Canon lens covers a 29.3mm wide angle (35mm equivalent) and reaches 612mm with 20x optical zoom, digitally extendable to 800x. An eight-bladed circular iris creates natural, cinema-style out-of-focus highlights. Hybrid, Face Only and Manual focus modes plus optical and electronic stabilisation support varied shooting conditions.

Questions about this item

How often will the dual SD card slots need fresh cards for long UHD 4K30 shoots?

Each slot accepts standard SD media; swap cards when the active one fills during extended UHD 4K30 recording.

Which thermal limit appears first when recording UHD 4K30 continuously?

The 30-minute clip ceiling stops recording before the 1/2.3" CMOS sensor reaches its thermal ceiling.

How loud does the built-in fan get during all-day 1080p60 streaming via USB Type-C?

The camcorder uses passive cooling; no fan noise is produced during continuous 1080p60 UVC streaming.
