Turf CTR Tire 22X11.00-8

The Carlisle Turf CTR is an all-season tire built for lawn mowers and garden tractors. Its symmetric tread design provides reliable grip on dry, wet and light winter surfaces. The 4-ply construction supports a load index of 78 at speeds up to 9 mph. This tire fits an 8 inch rim and is sold without a wheel.

Wide footprint and rounded shoulders

The broad contact patch and rounded shoulder profile spread driving pressure evenly across the tread. This design slows the wear rate to extend tread life while protecting grass from damage during turns. The tread depth measures 8/32 inch when new. All-season compound maintains flexibility across temperature changes.

22 inch overall diameter

The 22 inch overall diameter and 11.00 inch section width determine fitment on compatible garden equipment. Verify that your machine accepts this exact size before purchase. The tire carries a speed rating of A3 and load range B for light utility use. Rim is not included.

Questions about this item

Will the 8/32 tread depth need replacement before the 4-ply sidewall fails?

The 8/32 tread depth will wear down with use and eventually require tire replacement; the 4-ply construction handles the rated load but does not prevent tread wear.

Does the 78 load index or A3 speed rating limit how long I can run the mower continuously?

The 78 load index and A3 speed rating cap the tire at 9 mph and its corresponding load; sustained operation within those limits will not exceed the tire's design envelope.

How much heat builds up in the 22-inch diameter tire during all-day mowing?

The tire is rated for all-season use at up to 9 mph; normal mowing speeds and durations stay well within the design limits that control heat buildup.
