Shielded 24 AWG Communication Cable

The Carol C2513A.41.10 is a shielded communication cable designed for audio, computer and control systems. It provides a 1000 ft length of 24 AWG stranded conductors with aluminum/polyester Flexfoil shielding. The gray PVC jacket meets NEC Article 800 CM commercial fire rating for in-wall installations. Installers and system integrators use it for low-voltage signal runs up to 300 V.

Reel-in-box format for structured wiring

The cable ships on a reel in a box that pays out cleanly during long pulls through conduit or cable tray. Two stranded conductors with seven strands each terminate easily in screw terminals or insulation-displacement connectors. The 100 percent Flexfoil shield bonds to a drain wire to reduce electromagnetic interference in mixed-voltage environments. The 0.2 in outside diameter fits standard raceways and J-hooks without special fittings.

Low-voltage rating limits power delivery

Rated at 300 V maximum, the cable carries signals and control voltage but not mains power. Polyethylene insulation and PVC jacketing remain flexible at typical indoor temperatures and resist abrasion during installation.
