Plenum-rated 2-wire data cable

This 18 AWG stranded cable carries a plenum fire rating for installation in air-handling spaces. It contains two conductors with PVC insulation and a natural PVC jacket. The reel-in-a-box package holds 500 ft of cable with an outside diameter of 0.2 in. It suits alarm, audio and control circuits rated up to 300 V.

Verify voltage rating

Confirm that the 300 V maximum matches the circuit design for your alarm, audio or control system. Check local code requirements for plenum-rated wiring in the intended pathway. Ensure the 0.2 in diameter fits within existing conduit or cable tray fill limits without exceeding permitted capacity.

Low-smoke jacket limits flame spread in plenum

The PVC jacket meets plenum fire standards to restrict flame propagation and smoke generation during a fire event. Unshielded construction keeps the cable lightweight and flexible for pulling through ceiling voids. Stranded conductors resist fatigue from vibration in commercial installations. Power-limited circuits remain within the 300 V rating under normal operation.

Questions about this item

Does the 500 ft reel include connectors or do I need to buy them separately?

The reel supplies only the 2‑conductor 18 AWG stranded cable with PVC insulation and a natural PVC jacket; connectors, terminations or tools are not included and must be purchased separately.

Is the 18 AWG 300 V plenum version the only one available for this cable?

The listed item is a single 2‑wire 18 AWG plenum‑rated cable rated for 300 V; no other gauge, voltage or fire‑rating variants are described for this model.

What does the 0.2 in outside diameter mean when pulling the cable through conduit?

At 0.2 in overall diameter the stranded 2‑conductor cable fits easily in standard low‑voltage conduit and tight plenum spaces, reducing pull friction and allowing multiple runs in the same pathway.
