Walnut-Brown All-in-One CD Player

The CARONSORT Y-CD-Q146 is a compact stereo system that plays CD, CD-R, CD-RM, CD-G, MP3, WMA and WAV discs. It also receives FM radio and streams audio via Bluetooth. A supplied remote control and simple rotary volume make it straightforward for listeners of any age.

Thermals Noise and Power Draw

The unit draws 10 watts from the included 5V/2A corded adapter, so heat and fan noise are negligible during playback. Its sealed wooden cabinet helps contain vibration without active cooling. Operation stays quiet enough for bedside or desk use at low volumes.

Build Integration and Connections

Measuring 7.87 x 6.1 x 3.15 inches and weighing 1.98 pounds, the player fits on a shelf or side table. It offers Bluetooth input and output, a 3.5 mm auxiliary jack, USB playback and an S/PDIF port for external DACs or speakers. A 1.5 metre Type-C cable and 3.5 mm audio cable are included.

Questions about this item

How do I set up the CARONSORT Y-CD-Q146 for mains power, and what step is often missed?

Plug the included 5V/2A adapter into the wall, then connect the 1.5 metre Type-C cable to the unit's power input; the step often missed is ensuring the cable is fully seated in the recessed port before switching on.

What part of the CARONSORT Y-CD-Q146 will need replacement first with regular use?

The internal laser pickup that reads CD, CD-R, CD-RM and CD-G discs is the component most likely to require service after extended play time.

What limit appears first during a long listening session on the CARONSORT Y-CD-Q146?

The 10 watt stereo amplifier driving the three built-in speakers will reach its maximum clean output level before any other constraint becomes noticeable.
