Converts a US 7-way blade vehicle socket to a European 7-pin round trailer plug for lighting and brake signals
The CARROFIX adapter connects a US-style 7-way blade socket on a truck or tow vehicle to a European 7-pin round plug on a trailer. It is built for owners who need to tow a European-wired trailer behind a North American vehicle without rewiring either side. A dust cover on the trailer plug keeps the contacts clean when the adapter is not in use.
The single specification that decides fitment is the pin-out conversion: the adapter maps the vehicle’s combined turn/brake circuits and separate tail, electric brake, backup and ground wires to the European trailer’s dedicated left tail, right tail, left turn, right turn, electric brake, backup and ground pins. If your trailer expects separate turn and tail signals, this adapter provides them; if it expects combined signals, it will not match.
The unit is a passive wiring harness with no active electronics, so it generates no heat and produces no audible noise during operation. Power draw is determined entirely by the trailer’s lighting and brake circuits, and the adapter simply passes that current through its internal conductors.

No, it plugs directly into the existing US 7-way blade receptacle on the truck and the trailer's 7-pin round male plug with no additional wiring or adapters needed.
The adapter is a compact in-line unit with a dust cover on the European plug side; it fits between the vehicle's 7-way blade socket and the trailer's 7-pin round connector without extra mounting hardware.
