Laser-LED Hybrid Business Projector

The Casio XJ-M140 combines laser and LED light sources to deliver 2500 ANSI lumens of brightness. Its native 1024 x 768 DLP panel produces a 1800:1 contrast ratio and supports 1080p video input. The unit weighs 8.6 lbs and is designed for desktop or ceiling placement.

Presenters needing portable 4:3 projection

This model suits users who move between meeting rooms and need HDMI, VGA, composite, S-Video and RS-232 connectivity in one box. Built-in speakers and 3D-ready support handle basic multimedia without extra gear. Buyers who want widescreen native resolution or higher brightness for large venues should look elsewhere.

Verify your source and mounting plans

Check that your laptop or media player offers HDMI, VGA or one of the listed analogue outputs before ordering. Confirm the medium throw ratio matches the distance between the projector position and screen size you intend to use. Ensure the ceiling or table mount can support 8.6 lbs if you plan fixed installation.

Questions about this item

What video source do I need to supply a 1080p signal to the HDMI Standard port?

Connect any device that outputs 1080p over HDMI — laptop, media player or games console — and the projector will accept the signal and scale it to the native 1024 x 768 panel.

Can I keep using my legacy VGA laptop and composite video player with the XJ-M140?

Yes. The VGA/SVGA D-Sub, S-Video and composite RCA inputs are all present, so older laptops and analogue sources work without adapters.

How do I confirm the 2500 ANSI lumen output is performing correctly after installation?

Display a full-white test pattern in a darkened room; the image should appear visibly bright and the on-screen menu will report the laser/LED hybrid light source as active.
