Business Projector for Classrooms and Meeting Rooms

The Casio XJ-M251 is a new DLP projector with a laser/LED hybrid light source rated at 3000 ANSI lumens and a native 1280 x 800 WXGA resolution. It suits classrooms, conference rooms and home theatres needing bright, sharp images in rooms with ambient light. The unit includes built-in speakers and 3D ready capability for compatible content sources.

Installation with HDMI, VGA and Network Connections

Setup uses the supplied HDMI, VGA, composite, S-Video or RJ-45 network ports, plus an RS-232 DB-9 pin for control systems such as Crestron RoomView. Medium throw ratio requires appropriate distance from the screen; ceiling projection and colour correction settings help alignment. Ensure the source outputs a supported video mode like 720p or 1080p.

3000 Lumens and 1800:1 Contrast for Lit Rooms

The 3000 lumen output handles presentations and video in moderately lit spaces, while the 1800:1 contrast ratio provides acceptable black levels for business graphics. Native 1280 x 800 resolution displays WXGA content without scaling; higher resolutions such as 1080p are accepted but downsampled. The hybrid light source supports 24/7 operation with over 50% lamp life remaining.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the laser/LED hybrid light source is performing correctly after installation?

The projector displays 3000 ANSI lumens at 1280 x 800 WXGA resolution with 1800:1 contrast; a bright, sharp image across 16:10 content confirms the hybrid source is operating as intended.

Which cables and accessories are included versus those I must purchase separately?

The bundle provides HDMI Standard, VGA/SVGA D-Sub, composite RCA, S-Video, RJ-45 network and RS232 DB-9 connections; any specialised adapters or longer cable runs are separate purchases.

Should I choose the 3000-lumen WXGA model for a medium-throw classroom or a lower-brightness alternative?

At 3000 lumens with medium/standard throw, this model suits typical classroom and conference-room distances; lower-brightness units would struggle in ambient light at the same throw.
