Celestron 2.5 A AC Adapter for Computerized Telescopes

Power for Celestron mounts

This 2.5 amp AC adapter supplies continuous mains power to Celestron computerized telescope mounts. It replaces battery packs for observers who operate near a wall outlet and want uninterrupted sessions. The unit is built for indoor or outdoor sockets and fits every computerized mount in the current Celestron range.

Cool running and silent

With no moving parts the adapter produces no audible noise during operation. It draws power only when the mount is active and generates minimal heat, so it can sit on a table or tripod tray without special ventilation. The 2.5 amp rating covers typical visual observing loads on a balanced telescope.

Plug-and-play convenience

A fixed mains lead and the standard Celestron power jack mean no extra cables or adapters are required. The moulded strain relief protects the connection during repeated set-up and pack-down cycles. For astroimaging rigs that add cameras, guiders or dew heaters the higher-current 5 amp model 18780 is the appropriate choice.
