Product and audience

The Celestron 94112A is a 45-degree erect image prism designed for refractor and Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes. It suits amateur astronomers and seasoned skywatchers who want comfortable, correctly oriented terrestrial and celestial views.

Capacity and headroom

The 1.25-inch fitting accepts a wide range of eyepieces for standard observing sessions. The Amici prism design delivers upright, left-to-right corrected images but is not intended for high-magnification planetary work where light loss becomes noticeable.

Bundled accessories and software

No additional accessories or software are included with the prism. The sturdy black housing is the only component supplied, so users must provide their own eyepieces and telescope adapter.

Questions about this item

Will the 1.25" barrel on the 94112A fit the eyepieces I already use with my older refractor?

The 1.25" barrel accepts standard 1.25" eyepieces, so existing eyepieces with that barrel size will fit directly.

How can I confirm the Amici prism is delivering a correctly oriented image after I install it?

Point the telescope at a distant terrestrial object; the view should appear upright and left-to-right correct, matching the naked-eye scene.

Does the 94112A come with any eyepieces or adapters, or must I supply them separately?

Only the diagonal prism with its 1.25" barrel is included; eyepieces and any additional adapters are sold separately.
