A 2-inch UHC/LPR telescope filter that blocks artificial and natural light-pollution wavelengths while transmitting over 97% of the bandpass for darker skies and improved nebula contrast
The Celestron 94124 2-Inch UHC/LPR filter is made for astronomers who photograph or visually observe emission nebulae from light-polluted or dark-sky sites. It selectively blocks mercury, sodium and sky-glow wavelengths while passing the key nebular lines.
The black anodised housing uses advanced coatings that deliver over 97 percent transmission across the bandpass with total blockage of prominent pollution lines. Standard 2-inch threads allow direct attachment to compatible telescopes, diagonals, camera adapters and eyepieces without additional spacers.
Transmission exceeds 97 percent across the full bandpass while completely rejecting the strongest artificial and atmospheric emission lines. Buyers who need a narrower bandpass for planetary work or a broader pass for galaxy imaging should choose a different filter type.
Measured against everything we stock in Binoculars, Scopes & Sights, at today’s prices. Recalculated every night.

It selectively reduces transmission of mercury vapor, high and low-pressure sodium vapor lines, and neutral oxygen emission that causes sky glow.
The filter is built for standard 2-inch filter threads on eyepieces, diagonals and camera adapters.
Screw it into the 2-inch barrel of your eyepiece, diagonal or camera adapter; the common mistake is forgetting to remove any protective caps before threading it on.
