Prevents dew on 14" Schmidt-Cassegrain EdgeHD and RASA corrector plates using a 12V aluminium heater ring that replaces the retaining ring
The Celestron Dew Heater Ring is a dedicated accessory for 14 inch Schmidt-Cassegrain EdgeHD and RASA optical tubes. It replaces the standard retaining ring to deliver consistent heat across the corrector plate. This prevents dew formation during long observing or imaging sessions. The ring is constructed from lightweight, durable aluminum.
The heater ring mounts permanently on the optical tube and draws power from an external 12V DC source. Its rigid aluminum frame supports the cable circuitry and the Schmidt corrector lens. Two storage clips secure the power and thermistor jacks while accommodating the dust cover. A cable management clip attaches to the front cell to organise cables and reduce weight on the corrector.
This ring is designed for astronomers using 14 inch Celestron Schmidt-Cassegrain EdgeHD or RASA models who need reliable dew control. It requires a separate 12V DC power supply and a compatible optical tube. Buyers with different telescope apertures or brands should look at other solutions. Users without access to a 12V DC power source in the field cannot operate this heater.
