Celestron Omni XLT 102mm Refractor

The Celestron Omni XLT 102mm Refractor Telescope is a 1000mm focal length f/10 optical tube designed for amateur astronomers who want high-contrast planetary and deep-sky views. Its StarBright XLT coating system enhances light transmission for brighter, more detailed images of faint celestial objects. The package includes a heavy-duty HD CG-4 German Equatorial Mount engineered for precise tracking and stability during long observing sessions.

Verify mount capacity and tripod stability

Before ordering, confirm that your intended observing location can support a heavy-duty German Equatorial Mount and its tripod on level ground. The equatorial design requires polar alignment for accurate tracking, so ensure you have a clear view of the celestial pole from your site. Check that the 102mm aperture and 1000mm focal length suit your primary targets, whether planetary detail or wider deep-sky fields.

Sustained tracking on the HD CG-4 mount

Under sustained load, the HD CG-4 German Equatorial Mount maintains smooth tracking of celestial objects as the Earth rotates, allowing extended visual observation or astrophotography sessions. The robust construction resists vibration and flexure better than lightweight alt-azimuth alternatives during hours of use. The refractor's optical tube holds collimation permanently, so image quality remains consistent without frequent realignment throughout the night.
