A 72-inch thermistor cable that feeds real-time temperature data to a Smart DewHeater Controller for automatic dew prevention on telescope optics
The Celestron Thermistor Cable supplies precise temperature data to a Smart DewHeater Controller so it can adjust heating levels automatically. It is built for astronomers who use third-party heating bands or straps and want reliable dew prevention during observing sessions. The 72-inch (182.88 cm) cable provides ample reach for various telescope configurations.
This cable is designed exclusively for the Celestron Smart DewHeater Controller, which is sold separately. It is not needed when using a Celestron Dew Heater Ring because that ring already incorporates a built-in thermistor. Buyers who already own the compatible controller gain automated, real-time dew control for their optics.
Connect the heating band to the telescope and position the sealed probe tip beneath the band, then plug each cable into the appropriate port on the controller. The generous cable length reduces strain and tangling during setup. Users who expect a built-in thermistor on their heating accessory will find this cable unnecessary.

The 72-inch (182.88 cm) cable lets you route the sealed probe tip beneath a third-party heating band on the corrector plate and reach the Smart DewHeater Controller without stretching or tangling.
The cable plugs directly into the dedicated thermistor port on the Celestron Smart DewHeater Controller, which is sold separately.
Position the sealed probe tip beneath the heating band or strap on the telescope's corrector plate so it reads the optic temperature accurately.
