Clinical forehead thermometer with 32-reading memory

The CEM DT-8816H is a non-contact infrared thermometer designed for clinical forehead measurements. It captures body temperature from approximately 5 cm away and displays results on an LCD screen. The device stores the last 32 readings in memory for quick recall. It also offers a datalogger function capable of recording up to 6000 measurements.

Suited for clinics and home monitoring needing

This thermometer fits professionals and households that require a record of recent temperatures without manual logging. Selectable Celsius or Fahrenheit units and adjustable alarm thresholds support varied protocols. Buyers needing an English user manual in the box or included batteries should look elsewhere, as neither is supplied.

Stable readings over extended logging sessions

The instrument maintains consistent accuracy during prolonged use thanks to automatic data hold and auto power-off features. Body and surface temperature modes can be selected for different measurement tasks. The 6000-reading datalogger capacity supports long-term tracking without data loss during sustained operation.

Questions about this item

Which batteries do I need to buy locally before I can use the DT-8816H?

The thermometer ships without batteries because air-freight rules prohibit them; purchase standard AA cells at any supermarket or hardware store before first use.

Will the DT-8816H still measure accurately if I keep my older contact probe thermometer for cross-checks?

Yes, the infrared sensor reads forehead temperature from about 5 cm away and stores up to 32 recent readings, so you can compare its non-contact results with any probe thermometer you already own.

How can I confirm the DT-8816H is logging correctly after I set it up?

Take a measurement and watch the LCD — the last 32 readings remain in memory and the data-hold function freezes the display, letting you verify each entry is recorded.
