Adds seven USB ports — one 3.0 at 5 Gbps and six 2.0 — with plug-and-play support for Windows, macOS, Linux and Chrome OS
- Seven devices connect at once with stable operation and moderate temperatures
- One USB 3.0 port transfers data up to 5 Gbps, ten times faster than USB 2.0
- Works immediately without drivers on Windows, Mac, Linux and Chrome OS
- Connects keyboards, mice, drives, consoles and other USB peripherals
- Aluminium alloy housing dissipates heat quickly while built-in protection guards against over-current and short circuits
7-port USB hub for laptops and desktops
The censreal hub adds seven USB sockets to a single port on a laptop, PC tower, MacBook, Mac Mini, iMac, Surface Pro or games console. One port runs at USB 3.0 speeds while the remaining six operate at USB 2.0. It is aimed at users who need more connections for flash drives, keyboards, mice, card readers, hard drives, printers or cameras without installing internal cards. Builders who need every port at 5 Gbps or who require bus-powered charging will not be served by this device.
Mix of USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports
The hub replaces a single USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 port with one SuperSpeed connection up to 5 Gbps and six High-Speed connections. The jump is worth it when the bottleneck is port count rather than peak throughput on every socket. It is backwards compatible with USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 devices so older peripherals continue to work. Users who must move large datasets to multiple drives at once will find the six 2.0 ports limiting.
Sustained operation with aluminium cooling
An aluminium alloy chassis dissipates heat while an internal protection chip guards against over-current, over-voltage, short-circuit and over-temperature events. The supplier states the hub keeps a moderate temperature when all seven ports are active simultaneously. No external power adapter is included, so total bus current is limited by the host port. Charging is not supported, so phones and tablets will not draw power from the hub.

Questions about this item
What type of host connector does this 7-port hub use to plug into my laptop?
The hub connects via a single USB 3.0 upstream port that is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1 hosts.
Do I need to install any drivers before using the hub with Windows 10?
No, the device is fully plug-and-play and requires no driver installation on Windows 10 or other supported operating systems.
Will the hub's built-in protection circuits ever need replacement?
The over-current, over-voltage, short-circuit and high-temperature safeguards are integrated into the hub's chip and are not user-replaceable components.
