Centenex DS-CS-TOP520SL 7.2 V Ni-MH GPS battery

This 7.2 V 2700 mAh Ni-MH cell replaces the original Topcon power pack for GPT, GTS and CS series total stations. Survey crews and field engineers who run long days on a single charge will find the 19.44 Wh capacity matches the factory specification.

Replaces Topcon 51730 BT-32Q BT-52Q BT-52QA TBB-2

The unit fits GPT-1000, GPT-2000, GPT-3000, GTS-100N, GTS-200, GTS-330 and CS-100 models among others. The jump is worth it when an ageing pack no longer holds a full day of measurements and a fresh Ni-MH cell restores the original runtime.

Ni-MH chemistry practical limits

Ni-MH cells self-discharge faster than lithium types, so charge before each job if the instrument has been stored for weeks. Capacity drops in freezing temperatures, and the pack must be cycled occasionally to avoid memory effect. No built-in fuel gauge is present.

Questions about this item

Will the 135.25 x 68.70 x 26.15 mm pack fit my Topcon GTS-250 battery compartment?

The pack matches the original 135.25 x 68.70 x 26.15 mm footprint, so it seats in the same cavity used by the 51730, BT-52Q and TBB-2R cells on the GTS-250 and GTS-250 Series Total Station.

How do I install the 7.2 V Ni-MH pack in a CS-100 without triggering a polarity error?

Slide the pack into the battery bay until the latch clicks, ensuring the gold contacts face the reader; the keyed grooves prevent reverse insertion on the CS-100, CTS-3000 and GPT-1000 series.

When should I replace the 2700 mAh Ni-MH pack in my GPT-3000?

Replace the pack when a full charge no longer powers the GPT-3000 through a typical field day, or if the casing swells or shows electrolyte residue.
