USB Power Delivery output profiles

The adapter delivers power through USB PD at 20.3V/3A, 14.5V/2A, 9V/3A and 5.2V/2.4A, accepting AC input from 100-240V at 50-60Hz. This output range determines whether the unit can fast-charge a specific laptop, tablet or phone, so buyers should match these profiles to their device requirements before purchasing.

Thermals, noise and power draw

The unit is built with flame-resistant material and an intelligent chip that provides overload, overcurrent, overcharging, over-voltage and short-circuit protection. As a wall-powered adapter with no moving parts, it operates silently and draws up to 1.5A from the mains during normal charging use.

Questions about this item

What does the 61 W rating actually deliver to a 13-inch MacBook Pro in daily use?

It supplies up to 61 W through USB Power Delivery at 20.3 V / 3 A, 14.5 V / 2 A, 9 V / 3 A or 5.2 V / 2.4 A, matching the original adapter for 13-inch models from 2016 onward.

Which USB-C charging standard does the adapter implement and what voltage ceiling does it enforce?

It uses USB Power Delivery with a maximum output of 20.3 V at 3 A, so the voltage never exceeds 20.3 V regardless of the device connected.

How much physical reach does the included 6.6 ft cable give me at a desk or on a sofa?

The 6.6 ft USB-C to USB-C cable lets you sit roughly two metres from the wall socket while charging a MacBook, iPad Pro or other USB-C device.
