Hand Stamp Kit 20624

The C.H. Hanson 20624 kit provides a complete set of uppercase letters A to Z, numbers 0 to 8 with 6 serving as 9, and an ampersand. Each character is sharp-face style with a 1/8 inch height. The set is designed for light-duty marking tasks on surfaces up to 30 HRC hardness.

For Light Marking on Hard Surfaces

This kit suits users who need to mark metal, plastic, or leather with a hand-held stamp. It is not for buyers who require a holder included in the package. It is also not for buyers who need to stamp surfaces harder than 30 HRC or who need a character height different from 1/8 inch.

1/8 Inch Character Height

The 1/8 inch character height determines the impression size and is the critical specification for deciding if this kit matches the required marking scale. The sharp-face style creates a clean, defined impression on materials within the 30 HRC limit.

Questions about this item

How do I fit the 1/4 in shank stamps into a holder for straight impressions?

Each stamp has a 1/4 in shank; align the sharp-face character squarely in a compatible holder before striking to avoid tilted marks.

Will the characters wear out when stamping harder metals?

The set is rated for surfaces up to 30 HRC; repeated use on harder material will dull the sharp-face impressions faster.

At what hardness does the stamp stop making clean marks?

Clean impressions are specified up to 30 HRC; beyond that the sharp-face design cannot penetrate consistently.
