Pink Battery-Powered Sharpener for Kids

The Chaney CY970260 is a compact electric pencil sharpener finished in pink plastic. It sharpens both graphite and coloured pencils with a 6 to 8 mm diameter. A stall-free motor handles new or used pencils quickly, while a manual mode provides a backup when batteries run low. The unit weighs 0.159 kilograms and measures 7.874 by 8.128 by 8.89 centimetres.

Battery Operation and Manual Fallback

Power comes from two AA batteries, which are not supplied, so the sharpener works anywhere without a mains cable. If the batteries are depleted, the integrated manual sharpening function keeps pencils usable. Three non-slip feet keep the device stable during electric operation, and the mechanism stops automatically when the shavings tray is removed for safety.

Double Blade Rated for 300 Sharpenings

The cutting assembly uses a new double-blade design that the manufacturer rates for more than 300 sharpenings per blade. Blades can be replaced after the tray and top are unscrewed for easy access. This single durability figure determines whether the sharpener will last through a school term or need early blade changes.
