CHAUVET Obey4 Compact DMX 512 DJ Lighting Controller

Compact DMX-512 Controller

The Chauvet Obey 4 is a compact DMX-512 controller designed for LED wash fixtures that operate in three or four-channel modes. It manages red, green, blue and white or amber channels for straightforward colour mixing. The unit controls up to four separate fixtures independently across different zones. It suits mobile DJs or small venues needing simple lighting control.

Novices and Fixed-Installation Users

This controller fits lighting novices who want one-touch access to pre-mixed colours, built-in chases, strobe and dimmer functions without complex programming. It works well for operators who need automated, sound-activated or manual playback running simultaneously across zones. Buyers requiring more than four channels per fixture or control over more than four fixtures should look at larger consoles. It does not support advanced moving-head parameter management.

Four-Fixture Capacity and Playback Modes

The Obey 4 comfortably handles four LED wash units, each assigned to its own zone with independent playback modes such as preset colours, chases, colour macros, RGB fade and delayed RGB fade. It runs out of capacity when a show demands more than four fixtures or fixtures needing five or more DMX channels each. The 3.75 weight makes it portable for tabletop or rack mounting in tight spaces.
