Real-Time Analyzer Microphone

The DBX RTA-M is an omni-directional measurement microphone built for real-time audio analysis. It is designed to integrate with the DBX DriveRack system and is suited for installers and engineers who need a reference mic for system tuning. Buyers who require a microphone for vocal recording or general-purpose studio use should consider a different model.

Sustained Measurement Use

The microphone delivers a flat frequency response that remains consistent during extended measurement sessions with the DriveRack PA, DriveRack PA+, or 260. Its omni-directional pattern captures the acoustic space evenly throughout the tuning process without tonal drift.

Questions about this item

How much power does the RTA-M draw when it runs continuously during a live show?

The RTA-M is a passive measurement microphone with no internal amplifier, so it draws no power of its own and adds no heat to the rack.

What other DBX hardware must I already own for the RTA-M to function as intended?

It is designed for the DBX DriveRack PA, DriveRack PA+ and DriveRack 260 processors, which provide the phantom power and real-time analysis engine the mic requires.
