Produce Storage System

The ChefVentions 11139900 is a 1.6 qt food storage container designed for home cooks who want to extend the life of berries, grapes and similar small produce. An integrated carbon filter absorbs ethylene gas while an elevated basket promotes airflow to keep contents dry.

Simple Daily Use

The container is dishwasher safe and the double-duty basket works as a colander for rinsing before storage. Users must replace the carbon filter periodically to maintain the ethylene-absorption benefit; no other maintenance is required.

Capacity and Limits

At 1.5 L the unit comfortably holds a pint of berries or a cluster of grapes with room for airflow. It is not suited for bulk vegetables, large fruit or any quantity that exceeds the stated volume.

Questions about this item

How can I tell the carbon filter is still working after I start using the container?

The filter absorbs ethylene gas to slow aging; replace it when produce begins spoiling noticeably faster than before.

What comes in the box and do I need to buy extra filters separately?

The set includes the 1.6 qt container, elevated basket, adjustable vent lid and one carbon filter; replacement filters are sold separately.

Should I choose the 1.6 qt red version or a different capacity for storing berries and grapes?

The 1.6 qt / 1.5 L size is designed for small fruits such as berries and grapes; select a larger model only if you regularly store bigger produce.
