Low-profile USB keyboard

The Cherry KC 1000 is a full-size 104-key keyboard with low-profile LPK switches and a wired USB connection. Its pale gray chassis stands just 0.79 inches high, giving a slim silhouette for office or home use. Dedicated hot keys provide one-touch access to calculator, email, browser and sleep functions. The unit weighs approximately 1.17 pounds and requires no assembly.

Check your USB port and layout needs

Verify that your system has a free USB Type-A port for the wired cable connection. The keyboard uses a US English key layout, so confirm this matches your regional preference. No additional drivers or software are required for basic operation. Ensure you have enough desk width for the 18.03-inch footprint and 6.69-inch depth.

Replaces taller membrane or mechanical boards

This model upgrades from bulkier keyboards that sit higher than 0.79 inches, reducing wrist extension during long typing sessions. The jump is worth it when you want a slimmer profile without sacrificing a full 104-key layout and dedicated media hot keys. It is not suited for users who need wireless freedom, programmable macros or per-key RGB lighting.
