Chicago-Latrobe 46621 Cobalt Jobber Drill Bit

This Chicago-Latrobe 46621 drill bit is a fractional inch jobber length tool made from HAWA cobalt material. It features a 135 degree split point designed for accurate starting and reduced walking. The bit suits metalworking tasks requiring a 21/64 inch diameter hole.

Fits standard drill chucks for portable

The straight shank fits standard drill chucks on corded, cordless, or press-mounted machines. Cobalt construction handles stainless steel and tough alloys that dull high-speed steel quickly. The split point reduces the thrust needed to start the cut. Builders needing coolant-through capability or a different diameter must choose another bit.

Questions about this item

How does the 135-degree split point behave when the bit heats up during extended drilling?

The 135-degree split point is designed to reduce walking and maintain centering accuracy even as the cobalt material heats during sustained use.

What temperature or noise level should I expect from the 21/64-inch cobalt bit during all-day operation?

The cobalt construction resists heat buildup better than high-speed steel, keeping the bit cooler and quieter during continuous drilling in tough materials.
