Universal 12V 2A power adapter

This universal AC adapter delivers 12 volts at 2 amps for devices that draw up to 24 watts. It accepts 100 to 240 volt input at 50 or 60 hertz for worldwide use. The package includes eight interchangeable DC plugs to fit a range of barrel connectors. It suits security cameras, LED strips, routers, webcams and similar 12 volt equipment.

Continuous operation with built-in safeguards

Short-circuit, overvoltage, overload and overheating protections guard the adapter during extended use. A fire-resistant casing and internal thermal fuse add another safety layer for non-stop operation. The unit is certified to UL, FCC, CE and RoHS standards. It reliably powers loads from 0.1 up to 2 amps without shutdown.

Simple plug selection and 1.6 metre cord

Choose the matching tip from the 6.0 by 4.0, 6.0 by 3.0, 5.5 by 2.5, 5.5 by 2.1, 5.5 by 1.7, 4.8 by 1.7, 4.0 by 1.7 or 3.5 by 1.3 millimetre connectors. The 1.6 metre power cord gives flexible placement. Users must verify their device requires exactly 12 volts DC and does not exceed 2 amps. Polarity must match the centre-positive barrel standard.

Questions about this item

How hot or noisy does the 12V 2A adapter get when it runs 24/7?

The fire-resistant casing and internal thermal fuse are designed for continuous operation in homes, offices or industrial settings. Built-in overheating protection shuts the unit down before temperatures become unsafe.

Which DC plug sizes are included so I know if my device fits?

Eight interchangeable tips are supplied: 6.0×4.0 mm, 6.0×3.0 mm, 5.5×2.5 mm, 5.5×2.1 mm, 5.5×1.7 mm, 4.8×1.7 mm, 4.0×1.7 mm and 3.5×1.3 mm.

Will this 12V supply work with my older hardware that used a 5.5 mm × 2.1 mm jack?

Yes — the 5.5 mm × 2.1 mm tip is included and the adapter is backward-compatible with older systems using that barrel size, provided they draw 2 A or less.
