Fixed Extension Column Length

The CHIEF CMS018 is an 18 inch fixed extension column designed to lower a projector to the required mounting height. It connects directly to any 1.5 inch NPT threaded accessory for a secure installation.

Weight Capacity and Structural Limits

The aluminum column supports up to 500 lbs, providing substantial headroom for heavy professional projectors. It runs out of utility when the required drop exceeds the fixed 18 inch length.

Cable Management and Finish Options

Flow-through cable management with an exit port keeps wiring concealed inside the 1.5 inch NPT column. The black finish integrates discreetly into ceiling environments, while white and silver variants match alternative colour schemes.

Questions about this item

Will the 1.5" NPT threads on this 18" column mate with my existing Chief ceiling plate and projector mount?

Yes, both ends are threaded 1.5" NPT so the column connects directly to any Chief 1.5" NPT accessory you already own.

How can I confirm the cable management is functioning once the column is installed?

Route cables through the column interior; they should exit cleanly through the built-in exit port with no pinching or exposed wiring.

Does the box include mounting hardware for the ceiling plate and projector mount, or only the column itself?

The package contains the 18" aluminum extension column only; ceiling plate, projector mount and any fasteners are sold separately.
