What it is and who it's for

This 30W USB-C charger ships with a six-foot cable and targets MacBook Air 13-inch owners from 2018 through 2022 plus recent iPhone and iPad models. It replaces a lost or damaged original adapter and suits travellers who want a single brick for laptop and phone charging. Buyers needing more than 30W for larger laptops should look elsewhere.

The deciding specification

Maximum output is 30W delivered over USB-C with Power Delivery. The supplier measured 30 percent charge on an iPad Pro 12.9 inch in thirty minutes versus 15 percent from a 20W unit, and 55 percent versus 35 percent after one hour. If your device negotiates higher wattage this charger will not provide it.

Capacity and headroom

A MacBook Air 13 inch reaches full charge in about two hours. An iPad Pro 12.9 inch finishes in roughly two and a half hours while iPhone 15 through 17 series models charge at their maximum supported speed. The six-foot cable adds desk or bedside reach but the 30W ceiling limits use with power-hungry 15-inch or 16-inch laptops.
