Lapel Windscreen Five-Pack

This pack supplies five furry windscreens sized for standard lavalier and headset microphones. They are intended for creators, journalists and presenters who record speech indoors or outdoors and need to tame wind and handling noise.

Fits 0.5 to 1.2 cm Capsules

Each windscreen stretches to cover microphone heads with a diameter between half a centimetre and 1.2 centimetres. Measuring the capsule before ordering is the single check that decides whether the set will work with a specific mic.

Slip-On Installation

The artificial fur slides over the microphone head in seconds and grips without adhesives or clips. A loose fit on capsules smaller than 0.5 cm lets wind leak through, while forcing the cover onto larger heads can tear the fur or deform the mic grille.

Questions about this item

How much wind noise does the fur actually block once the mic is clipped on?

The dense artificial fur reduces unpleasant wind and popping noise during indoor or outdoor recording while the snug fit keeps the cover from shifting.

What microphone diameters does the 0.5 cm to 1.2 cm opening actually accommodate?

The elastic opening stretches to fit most standard lavalier and headset microphones within that diameter range; measure your mic before ordering.

Will the windscreen stay on a typical lapel mic without tape or clips?

The soft fur has enough elasticity to grip the microphone securely and can be put on or taken off easily without extra fasteners.
