Undersink electric tankless heater

The Chronomite CM-40L/240 is a compact tankless water heater designed for installation beneath a sink. It serves commercial and residential points of use where a dedicated hot-water supply is needed without a storage tank. The unit operates on 240 V AC single-phase power and draws 40 A through 8 AWG conductors. It is not suited for whole-house demand or locations without a 240 V circuit.

2 gpm maximum flow at 110 °F

The heater delivers a maximum flow of 2 gallons per minute with a fixed outlet temperature of 110 degrees Fahrenheit. It activates at a low 0.2 gpm, so even a trickle starts the heating element. Power consumption reaches 9,600 W at full output. Demand above 2 gpm or a requirement for adjustable temperature will exceed what this model can provide.

Fixed temperature and compression inlet

The thermostat is not adjustable, so the 110 °F set point cannot be changed on site. A 3/8 inch compression fitting accepts the cold-water supply directly. The cord uses 8 AWG wire for the 40 A load. No additional valves, controllers or mounting hardware are included in the package.
