Business-class VoIP endpoint

The Cisco IP Phone 8851 is a business-class collaboration endpoint designed for small to large enterprise environments. It delivers high-fidelity, secure voice over IP communications with Cisco Intelligent Proximity for mobile device integration. The charcoal desktop unit supports wall mounting and includes a user connect license for unified communications manager platforms.

Dual RJ-45 with PoE

Network connectivity relies on two RJ-45 ports with Power over Ethernet support, so a single cable can carry both data and power where infrastructure allows. Bluetooth is available for wireless headset or mobile pairing, while the corded handset remains the primary audio path. USB ports are present but their specific version or charging capability is not detailed in the supplied data.

Five-line capacity and wideband audio

The phone handles up to five programmable lines, suiting knowledge workers who manage multiple simultaneous calls or shared appearances. Wideband audio provides clearer voice reproduction than narrowband codecs, though the handset is corded and the base unit does not support additional cordless handsets beyond the Bluetooth pairing. Buyers needing DECT mobility or more than five line keys will need a different model.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the Charcoal 8851 or another colour for my desk?

This model comes in Charcoal only, so there is no colour choice to make.

What does the five-line capacity mean when I am taking calls?

You can handle up to five simultaneous lines, letting you hold, transfer or conference multiple calls without a second device.

How do the two RJ-45 ports and PoE affect my network setup?

Two Gigabit RJ-45 ports let you daisy-chain a PC, and PoE powers the phone so no separate power adapter is needed.
