PoE and Dual RJ-45 Connectivity

Power over Ethernet removes the need for a separate power adapter at the desk, reducing cable clutter and installation time. Two RJ-45 ports allow the phone to share a single network drop with a connected PC or laptop, preserving switch ports and cabling infrastructure. This setup supports flexible desk layouts without additional wiring.

Cordless Range and Platform Constraints

The cordless handset limits mobility to the radio coverage area around the base station, so users cannot roam across large campuses or between buildings without additional access points. The phone relies on a supported call-control platform; it does not operate as a standalone SIP endpoint without CUCM, Webex Calling, Broadworks or a compatible third-party cloud service.
