This CKLau switch lets you control two computers or laptops that each provide HDMI and DisplayPort outputs, sharing one keyboard, one mouse and two monitors for extended or mirrored desktops. It targets home-office workers, gamers and anyone juggling a work laptop and a personal desktop who wants a single console without constant cable swapping. The unit supports video up to 3840x2160 at 60 Hz and 4096x2160 resolution, with HDMI 2.0, HDCP 2.2 and HDR10 pass-through.

Metal chassis and built-in USB hub

A solid metal housing keeps the switch steady on the desk and protects the internal circuitry from knocks. Two extra USB 2.0 hub ports allow peripherals such as printers, webcams or headsets to be shared between the connected machines. Switching is handled by a front button, keyboard hotkeys, mouse clicks, a wired remote or automatic scanning, so you can change sources without reaching around the back. Separate audio and microphone outputs are also provided for each system.

Bandwidth limits and cable considerations

The HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.2 interfaces cap 4K output at 60 Hz, so higher refresh rates or 8K signals are not supported. HDCP 2.2 compliance means protected streaming content will play, but older HDCP versions on source devices may cause handshake issues. The package includes the cables needed to link the computers to the switch, though monitor cables are not supplied and must be provided separately.
