Push-to-Signal Handset

The Clarity PTS-500-6M-00 is a push-to-signal handset built for radios, FAA consoles and dispatch systems. It provides private conversation in noisy environments and lets the user stop an outgoing transmit signal. The handset also initiates special phone functions such as switching to a two-way radio. Components are chosen to withstand demanding conditions.

Suited for dispatch and radio operators

This handset suits dispatchers, radio operators and FAA personnel who need push-to-signal control and hearing-aid compatible audio. It is not for buyers who want a standard telephone handset without transmit control. It is also not for users who require wireless operation or headset-style wearing.

Push-to-signal transmit control

The single specification that decides fit is the push-to-signal function, which lets the user start and stop an outgoing transmit signal at will. If the application does not require this transmit control, a different handset type should be selected.
