Solar post cap kit

This two-pack of white PVC solar post caps is designed for homeowners and DIY landscapers who want automatic pathway or deck lighting without wiring. Each unit mounts directly onto a standard 4x4 post and activates at dusk.

Installation check

Confirm that the posts you are lighting are true 4x4 dimensions so the caps seat securely. No electrical supply or trenching is required, but the solar panel must receive direct daytime sun to charge the included AA Ni-MH batteries.

Build integration

The caps provide 15 lumens of 4500-5500K white light for up to 12 hours per charge, casting illumination downward onto post faces and the surrounding ground. Durable vinyl construction resists fading and yellowing, leaving the deck or fence structure free of conduit and transformers.

Questions about this item

What comes in the 2-pack and do I need to buy batteries separately?

The package includes two white PVC solar post caps with four high-output surface-mount LEDs each and two long-life AA Ni-MH rechargeable batteries, so no separate battery purchase is required.

Should I choose the 4500 K or 5500 K colour temperature for my fence posts?

The caps emit a blended white light rated at 4500–5500 K, providing a single neutral-white tone rather than two selectable options.

How much area will 15 lumens actually illuminate on a 4×4 post?

At 15 lumens the downward-facing LEDs cast a brilliant white glow onto the post cap walls and the immediate surrounding area for up to 12 hours per night.
