ClearOne W4DS 2K USB 3.0 Webcam

The ClearOne W4DS is a USB 3.0 webcam built for video conferencing, live streaming, online teaching and gaming. It captures 2K resolution at 30 frames per second and 1080P at 60 frames per second. A 78-degree wide-angle lens and automatic focus keep the image sharp across a broad view. Dual noise-cancelling microphones pick up clear voice audio up to six metres away.

2K 30fps and 1080P 60fps capacity

At 2K the camera delivers 30 fps, suited to meetings and webinars where detail matters more than motion speed. Switching to 1080P raises the rate to 60 fps for smoother streaming and gaming footage. The CCD sensor tops out at 1920 by 1080 pixels, so higher resolutions are not available. Low-light correction and automatic exposure help maintain quality in dim settings.

Plug-and-play USB 3.0 integration

The webcam draws power and data from a single USB 3.0 connection with no extra drivers required. A built-in clip mounts it on a monitor or laptop, while the included tripod thread offers flexible positioning. A removable privacy cover slides shut when the camera is not in use. Weighing 0.191 kilograms, it adds minimal load to any setup.

Questions about this item

Will the USB 3.0 interface work with the USB 2.0 ports on my older laptop?

Yes, USB 3.0 is backward compatible with USB 2.0 ports, though the webcam will operate at USB 2.0 speeds and power limits.

How can I verify the autofocus and 78° field of view are functioning correctly after setup?

Open a preview in your video app; the image should sharpen automatically when you move, and the horizontal view should capture a wide scene without manual adjustment.

Does the package include the privacy cover and a tripod, or must I buy them separately?

The privacy cover is built into the webcam and a tripod is supplied in the box, so no separate purchase is needed.
