A high-speed steel chucking reamer for precise hole finishing in dowel-pin applications
The Cleveland C25360 is a straight-flute chucking reamer made from high-speed steel with a bright uncoated finish. It is sized at 11/64 in. and measures 0.1855 in. diameter for dowel-pin work. The tool is intended for precision hole finishing in a drill press, lathe or CNC machine.
Machinists and maintenance technicians who need accurate dowel-pin holes in steel or cast iron will find the straight-flute geometry effective for through-holes with good chip evacuation. Shops that primarily ream blind holes or work in very hard alloys should consider a spiral-flute or coated alternative instead.
The straight shank fits standard drill chucks or collets, so setup is a simple matter of securing the tool and aligning the spindle. Common issues include chatter from excessive overhang, bell-mouthed holes caused by misalignment, and premature wear if cutting fluid is omitted during the cut.

The reamer has a straight shank sized for standard drill chucks that can grip 0.1855 in. diameter; check your chuck capacity before use.
High-speed steel resists heat better than carbon steel, so it keeps its edge at the moderate speeds of older presses if you use cutting fluid and avoid excessive feed pressure.
Measure the bore with a calibrated 11/64 in. go/no-go gauge or a micrometer; a proper ream should pass the go gauge and stop on the no-go gauge.
