For collectors of industrial hardware

This piece suits buyers who want a new-old-stock component from a recognised power-transmission brand for display or reference purposes. It does not suit anyone looking for a wearable sports collectible, a sealed retail package or a collar with documented dimensions or material specifications.

California Proposition 65 notice applies

The product carries a Proposition 65 warning for exposure to a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. Buyers who require items without such a warning should consider a different collectible.

Questions about this item

What does the 1C-287-A model designation indicate about this clamping collar?

The 1C-287-A is Climax Metal Products' part number for a one-piece clamping collar designed to secure components on a shaft with a single split and screw.

Does the Proposition 65 warning affect how I can use this collar in a home workshop?

The warning means the collar contains a chemical listed by California as a cancer or reproductive hazard; normal mechanical use is unchanged, but wash hands after handling and avoid ingesting dust.

What shaft diameter does the 287 size fit and how is it mounted?

The 287 size corresponds to a specific bore diameter in the Climax catalogue; the one-piece design clamps around the shaft by tightening its single socket-head cap screw.
