Questions about this item

Does the 1C-293-Z clamping collar generate heat or noise when installed on a shaft that runs continuously?

The collar is a passive mechanical component with no moving parts, so it produces no noise and adds negligible heat during continuous rotation.

What shaft diameter must I already have for the 1C-293-Z to clamp securely?

The 1C-293-Z is sized for a specific shaft diameter; match the collar's listed bore to your existing shaft before ordering.

Will the transparent finish on the 1C-293-Z react with older steel shafts I plan to keep in service?

The transparent coating is chemically inert and will not corrode or gall against standard steel shafting already in use.
