Questions about this item

Does the 2C-206-S collar generate noticeable heat or noise when left clamped on a shaft all day?

The collar is a passive metal component with no moving parts, so it produces no noise and negligible heat during continuous use.

What shaft diameter must I already have for the 2C-206-S to clamp correctly?

The model number 206 corresponds to the bore size the collar is machined for; you need a matching shaft of that diameter.

Will the transparent finish on the 2C-206-S react with older steel shafts I plan to keep?

The transparent coating is inert and will not corrode or gall against existing steel shafts in normal conditions.
