Precision Shaft Collar

The Climax Metal Products C-087-S is a single-piece shaft collar machined from 303-grade stainless steel. It accepts a 7/8 inch round bore and uses a stainless-steel set screw for axial locking on precision shafts or spindles.

Maintenance and Light-Duty Builders

Mechanics who need a corrosion-resistant collar for inch-series shafts will find the 303 alloy and one-piece design straightforward. Buyers who want more storage for spares or who require a split-clamp style for frequent repositioning should look at something else.

Simple Set-Screw Fitting

Installation requires only a hex key to seat the supplied screw against the shaft; the 1.5 inch outside diameter clears most adjacent components. Over-tightening the set screw can mar softer shafts, so apply firm but measured torque.

Will the 303 stainless steel collar gall if I keep an older steel shaft in place?
