A carbon-steel, two-piece shaft collar with a 1 3/16 in bore and 2.13 in clearance diameter
This carbon-steel shaft collar uses a 2-piece construction for installation without removing other components. The round bore measures 1 3/16 in and the outside diameter is 2 1/8 in with a 2.13 in clearance diameter. Grade 1211 steel and carbon-steel screws provide secure clamping on inch-series shafts.
A split design replaces one-piece collars when disassembly of mounted parts is impractical. The recessed screw heads reduce snagging on nearby hardware. The jump is worth it when maintenance intervals require frequent collar repositioning or when shaft access is limited by bearings, gears or pulleys already in place.
The 1/2 in collar width distributes clamping force evenly across the bore surface. Carbon-steel construction resists creep when torque is maintained over long periods. The two-piece format keeps alignment consistent through repeated tightening cycles without the distortion that can occur with single-piece designs forced over shaft features.

The 1 3/16 in round bore fits a shaft of that exact diameter.
Loosen both recessed screws, place the halves around the shaft, then tighten the screws evenly so the 2.13 in clearance diameter stays concentric.
Replace if the bore shows wear beyond 1 3/16 in, if the 1211-grade steel cracks, or if screw threads strip during adjustment.
